SouthEastern Young Artists

The Arts Council is proud to host the SouthEastern Young Artists on our outdoor pavilion FREE on Sunday, June 11! This Pop Up Concert will begin at 1:00 PM, with seating on the stage for an up close, intimate concert feel.
This performance is sponsored by Dr. Charles and Mary Nash.
The mission of the SouthEastern Young Artists (SEYA) is to grow the cultural arts community in North Georgia through accessible chamber music performances and education workshops.
Focused on accessibility, SEYA presents free and ticketed concerts performing in venues, churches and private homes. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, they accept tax-deductible donations.

Piano Night

Piano Night is an evening of piano students from the Dahlonega campus performing music by a variety of classical composers. The concert will be aired on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. on the UNG Music Department YouTube channel.  Join in for a great evening of piano music presented by some very talented students.

Virtual Concert: Piano Night

Piano students from the Dahlonega campus perform music by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, and a variety of other classical composers. The concert will be performed before a live audience consisting of UNG music students and faculty. Livestream will be available at ung.edu/music.

Holiday Choral Concert

The University of North Georgia Department of Music cordially invites you to a virtual Holiday Concert to be aired on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 7:30p.m. The program will feature a variety of holiday selections presented by members of the UNG Singers and Le Belle Voci, under the direction of Dr. John Broman, UNG Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Lauren Ringwall, and UNG brass ensembles, under the direction of Dr. Adam Frey. Virtual Concert: Sinfonietta

The UNG string orchestra located on the Dahlonega campus—will stream a holiday program at 7:30 pm on December 17. The concert will be presented as a YouTube Premiere on the UNG Music Department YouTube channel. In addition to holiday favorites, the program will feature several UNG students. It will begin with Arcangelo Corelli’s Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 12, with performance majors Chelsea Shankles and Katelynn Black on the two solo violin parts, music minor Sarah Gurley on the cello, and performance major Tamara Stroup on the harpsichord. Next, Sinfonietta will be joined by euphonium player and music education major Lauren Brack in Joseph DeLuca’s Beautiful Colorado. As runner-up in the 2019 Concerto/Aria Competition, Brack earned this opportunity to be featured in DeLuca’s virtuosic masterpiece. Then the ensemble will be joined by harpist Skylar Cibirka for Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Fantasia on Greensleeves. Finally, Sinfonietta will present Leroy Anderson’s Festival of Carols—a ten-minute medley of all your classic Christmas favorites.
