Riverstreet – Rock Concert

Founded in 1969, in Gainesville, GA, this Rock band includes Mike Terrell (drums), Dwayne Young (bass guitar), Dean Young (rhythm guitar), David Murray (lead guitar), Larry Vandiver (lead guitar) and Michael Bennett (Keyboards).

“We were only a cover band, but we became…popular,” said drummer Mike Terrell, who joined the band in 1974. “We stayed on the road a good bit touring. We played about 10 states and as far away as Arkansas.” The band cultivated and maintained quite a following, not only in its home state of Georgia but all over the Southeast by extensively working the college and club circuits. Motorbike, leather jacket, rock music and the open road. A whole generation of young people found its groove with Riverstreet, the tight classic rock outfit who found a hook to hang its sound on for many a years.
