Georgia FENCE Project

Atlanta Celebrates Photography has created a Georgia-based photographers version of the FENCE, a juried state-wide call for entries.  The outdoor exhibit features 10 notable Georgia photographers presented in a 300-foot long exhibition of outstanding photography that loosely fits the themes of home, streets, people, creatures, nature and play.

This project is made possible, in Gainesville, GA through the collaboration of Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Vision 2030 Public Arts Committee, the City of Gainesville, The Arts Council, Inc. and the Gainesville Rotary Club. Two sites to present this unprecedented Georgia FENCE project have been located within our community. This exhibition will open on September 16th and run through October 16th in two downtown Gainesville locations: the City’s construction fence at Roosevelt Square and The Arts Council’s fence on Broad Street next to the outdoor Train Museum. The exhibition is free of charge. Community collaborators hope to achieve, through public art, a drive to economic vitalization, a creation of a collective attitude towards the benefits of the arts, inspire a sense of community, beautify and shape our consciousness.
